CLEAR ALLThe Tiffanie cat breed is similar in appearance to the Asian Shorthair. However, they have a medium-length coat of luxurious silky hair that’s shorter around the shoulders. These are slim, muscular cats that are well-known for being affectionate, gentle, active, and curious. Tiffanies crave attention! So, it’s important that you can devote enough time to cater to their demanding needs if you’re considering adding a Tiffanie to your family.
These cats first appeared in the 1980s as the result of a gene mutation that caused long hair in Burmilla's (a cross between Burmese and Chinchilla breeds). However, the Tiffanie breed didn’t achieve full championship status until 2003. Until today, they remain the only semi-long-haired breed in the Asian group.
Tiffanie cats have mellow personalities, and they are at their happiest when surrounded by their beloved owners. So, they are better suited to homes where someone is around for most of the day. If you are looking for a devoted feline that will shower you with affection and want to be with you day and night, the Tiffanie could be a great choice for you.
These cats are more than happy to spend most of the day indoors, either curled up on the lap of their favourite person or dashing around after a toy. A Tiffanie is guaranteed to get on well with every member of the family. However, they do have a bit of a jealous streak so always introduce new animals slowly and with care. They are generally quite quiet felines that will do well in a home with older children.

Tiffanies are medium-sized cats, typically weighing between 4.5 and 6.5kg. They have a slender but muscular build, so they are often heavier than they look. Their tail is a particular highlight; It's long and feathery, like many long-haired breeds.
One of the Tiffanie cat's most captivating features is its expressive almond-shaped eyes. Depending on their coat colour, their eyes can range from vibrant green to rich gold (though gold is the most common shade), giving a striking contrast to their fur.
Tiffanies have a gently rounded head and a sweet and approachable expression. Their medium-sized ears are slightly rounded at the tips and set wide apart, enhancing their harmonious appearance.
Of course, their semi-longhaired coat is another captivating feature of this breed. It lies close to their body, flowing beautifully around the neck to form a subtle ruff and gently feathering along the legs and tail. Their fur shimmers with a silky, soft texture and can be in various colours and patterns, including solid, tabby, and shaded variations.
Tiffanies are among the most social and people-orientated cat breeds. They live for attention, so you'll find this cat attached to you at all times and constantly asking for cuddles.
Even so, they have a gentle, laid-back temperament and are not very vocal, meaning they won't scream at you for attention. Instead, they are more likely to let out soft chirps as they follow you from room to room.
Tiffanie cats are also super playful, and like most cat breeds, they can have a mischievous streak, especially when young. Tiffanies are known to steal small items from around the home, hiding them in secret spots for you to find later.
Tiffanies are often massive lap cats who enjoy nothing more than curling up in their owner's laps. They are also the type of cat who will sleep in your bed as close to you as possible!
Many Tiffanie owners also claim they are highly receptive to their owner's moods. They may notice if you are feeling down and try to console you by coming to sit on your lap or rubbing up against you.
Being such social cats, Tiffanies are prone to separation anxiety. Therefore, they are best suited to retired owners or those working from home. Alternatively, they would be a good fit in a household with multiple occupants working different shifts.
Their friendly nature also means that Tiffanie cats do well in families with children. They adore the attention of kids and don't get nervous around them. However, they are not the most docile breed, so they may not tolerate rough handling from young children. Therefore, they are best suited to families with slightly older kids.
Many Tiffanie cats enjoy having a feline (or canine) companion around. However, they are known for being quite jealous and can act out if they feel like the other pet is getting more attention from you.

It's been a few months since we decided to find a Chihuahua puppy to join our family, however we had issues finding a good breeder.
We contacted The Pedigree Paws and they connected us with a very unique breeder in Greece. Many videos and pictures were shown, the breeder shared with us the proof of vaccinations, deworming and her 5 generation pedigree. We were fortunate as George, the breeder was able to deliver the puppy to us personally. We are very pleased with our beautiful Athena.
