CLEAR ALLThe Australian Mist is a beautiful medium-sized cat breed with expressive eyes and a calm, loving personality. As the name suggests, this breed was developed in Australia, back in 1976. They are highly people-orientated cats so they will suit families and individuals looking for a devoted companion that prefers to stay by their side. Thanks to their docile and patient demeanours, they tend to get on well with children and other cats. In addition, they make excellent therapy animals for the elderly. These cats also have a very playful side, and they love to interact with their favourite humans.
Australian Mists like to stay close to home, so they are better as indoor-only cats, as long as they receive all the mental and physical stimulation they need to thrive. These cats are proper heat seekers so expect them to regularly want to curl up on your lap for a snuggle.
The Australian Mist was originally known as the ‘Spotted Mist’, until 1998 when marbled coat patterns also became accepted. These are highly sought after cats because of their very amicable temperaments. However, they remain relatively rare across Europe and the UK.
If you’re looking for a cuddly companion that will seamlessly fit into family life, then the Australian Mist could be the breed for you. They also have short, close-lying coats which are relatively easy to maintain.

The Australian Mist is a medium-sized cat with a balanced and harmonious build. They typically weigh between 4 and 7kg.
Their body is well-proportioned, with broad chests and strong hind legs. They have large, slightly rounded heads with soft contours that give them an approachable, friendly expression. Their striking eyes can be any shade of green, from chartreuse to aquamarine.
The coat of an Australian Mist is one of its most distinguishing features, boasting a soft and silky texture that is short, dense, and close-lying.
The breed's name refers to its fur's subtle "misty" appearance. This is due to delicate ticking or marbling over a paler background, creating a soft, dappled effect reminiscent of a light haze.
Their coat comes in various colours, including brown, blue, chocolate, lilac, gold, and peach, each offering a slightly different but equally enchanting aesthetic. However, note that their full coat colour does not fully develop until they reach around two years old.
Australian Mists are highly human-oriented and love nothing more than curling up on a warm lap. They are incredibly social and love to follow their owners around. Whether you're working, relaxing, or tackling household chores, you can guarantee your Australian Mist will be right by your side.
Thanks to their food-motivated nature, Australian Mists are especially fond of "assisting" in the kitchen. When you enter the kitchen (for whatever reason), your Australian Mist will closely follow you, looking for extra food. Because of their curiosity about food, you'll need to keep all food securely closed in cupboards.
Australian Mists also have an independent streak, adding depth to their charming and affectionate nature. While they thrive on human companionship and enjoy being close to their family, their independence ensures they're not overly clingy or demanding.
They are also extremely playful at times. They are known to initiate games with their owners and love interactive toys and feeder puzzles. As clever cats, they can get bored quickly, though, so you'll need to rotate their toys and play different games to keep them engaged and stimulated.
Australian Mists are gentle, affectionate, and patient cats, making them ideal companions for people of all ages. They have a high tolerance for handling and a calm demeanour, making them suitable for families with young children. These felines rarely resort to scratching unless provoked or mistreated.
Australian Mists were bred to thrive as indoor-only pets, making excellent apartment cats. However, because of their social nature, they like to have someone around all the time.
Therefore, Australian Mists do best in homes where a human is often available. Alternatively, they can enjoy the companionship of another pet, whether a fellow feline or a cat-friendly dog.

Athena
Chihuahua
It's been a few months since we decided to find a Chihuahua puppy to join our family, however we had issues finding a good breeder.
We contacted The Pedigree Paws and they connected us with a very unique breeder in Greece. Many videos and pictures were shown, the breeder shared with us the proof of vaccinations, deworming and her 5 generation pedigree. We were fortunate as George, the breeder was able to deliver the puppy to us personally. We are very pleased with our beautiful Athena. Thank you, The Pedigree Paws, for being truthful and transparent.
